OP Games Partners with Play-To-Earn Gaming Guild, Yield Guild Games

OP Games continues to expand its strategic partnerships by teaming up with Yield Guild Games (YGG), a play-to-earn gaming guild seeking yield around the Metaverse.

This partnership kickstarts with YGG’s acquisition of 200 Arcadians, the genesis NFT avatar project created by OP Games which aims to fund game developers, game grants, and open-source game engines.

With this investment in the Arcadians project, OP Games and YGG also have plans to collaborate on an accelerator program that will have mentorship sessions to educate game developers on blockchain gaming and community ownership through NFTs and DAOs. In the process of lowering barriers to ownership, OP Games aims to help developers monetize their work via patronage, DeFi protocols, and play-to-earn.

Gabby Dizon, co-founder of YGG, is set to participate as a mentor and YGG as an official partner organization of the Web 3.0 accelerator. YGG may also exercise their option to invest in some of the projects that will come out of the program.

YGG is one of the first of a series of partners in the OP Games Web 3.0 Accelerator Program to be announced. More details about the program will be revealed soon.

OP Games and YGG share the same vision of introducing more people to blockchain gaming and lowering barriers to entry for both game developers and players.
