As we continue to develop, expand, and improve the OP Games ecosystem, you; our dear community, have remained the core of what we do. And that’s why, we’re here to reassure you that WE HEAR YOU. We see the concerns that have popped up in the Discord and we’re addressing them now.
To give a brief overview of what we’re tackling, we will cover the issue of multiple accounts and hacking concerns. Then the actions we are taking to alleviate these issues. Furthermore, we’re clarifying why we are launching multiple initiatives such as OP Guild and Spark and how it’ll affect Arcadia and the Arcadians.
We recognize the importance of addressing recent concerns and shedding light to OP Games’ actions to ensure a transparent and cohesive community experience. This statement aims to address key issues and reaffirm our commitment to you, our valued community.
The Arcadia.Fun System
We heard it loud and clear that there could still be people bypassing the checks in our current system when it comes to detecting multiple accounts.These issues, highlighted by our vigilant community members, have been taken very seriously. Plus, the possibility of players using cheats to guarantee their wins and that’s why they are confident in winning across the leaderboards.
Protection Against Multiple Accounts
Unfortunately though, due to the anonymous nature of blockchain, we cannot be 100% certain that these accounts are owned by the same person despite their transaction history. However, we have implemented workarounds and further safeguards in the Arcadia system to flag suspicious accounts better.
Our technical team is also working on integrating proof of humanity measures to prevent bots from participating in our tournaments. These enhancements are critical to maintaining fair play and fostering a trustworthy environment for all participants.
Tournament Safeguards and Future Checks
To further protect the integrity of our tournaments, we are developing a system of gated tournaments based on experience tiers. Under this new system, profiles will need to reach specific experience levels through consistent gameplay on the platform before qualifying for certain high-value tournaments.
This qualification system aims to ensure that only dedicated and authentic profiles can enter high-stakes competitions, thereby preventing abuse by newly created or fraudulent accounts. This approach not only safeguards our tournaments but also rewards genuine player engagement.
If you check your Arcadia profile, there should already be an experience system in place. Although this is currently a work in progress, we encourage active participants to start earning EXP to ensure entry to future tournaments.
The OP Games Ecosystem
We understand that the recent announcements of projects like Spark and OP Guild have raised questions within the community. It is important to clarify that these initiatives are not a departure from our commitment to Arcadia and the Arcadians. Rather, they are integral components of our broader strategy to build a comprehensive and robust Web3 gaming ecosystem.
Our goal is to enhance the overall experience for both developers and players, ensuring that every part of our community benefits from our growth and innovation. By diversifying our projects, we aim to create a more interconnected and dynamic environment for gaming enthusiasts.
OP Guild Brings More Games
The rationale behind starting OP Guild was simple to us. More developers equals more games. We want to make Arcadia the premier hypergames platform of Web3 and to do that, we need to have more playable content. This is also how the Game Creator features ties in with OP Guild as we funnel the guild’s games into Arcadia.
Sparking NFTs To Life
For Spark on the other hand, we want to create more utility for NFTs. We are smashing the limitations of static JPEGs and turning them into autonomous Network Playable Characters. Imagine your Arcadians being able to play games on Arcadia by themselves without direct output from you. Or even playing other games in our partnered communities to earn their tokens and prizes!
Our Growth In Partnerships
The increased partner activities with OP Games is not a cause for alarm. We are running campaigns with old, new, and potential partners as a way to benefit one another. Whether it’s through strategic alliances or creating more games, there is a reason for OP Games running campaigns with them.
