In every major shift, every radical revolution, there comes a point where the old and the new come face to face to settle what direction the world is really going — a point where the people are called together by principle and ethics to make the choices that will drastically affect their lives and generations to come. That moment is now.

A Declaration of Interdependence of Cyberspace” might end up being one of the most important pieces of literature this century. More than a document, it is a movement — an evolution with the ethos of togetherness, collaboration and collective prosperity. This work is a push back against Facebook’s rebranding as “Meta” and a response against all colossal Web 2 corporations trying to own, monetize and control the metaverse as they did with past technologies.

The essence of the declaration is to punctuate justice, to restore control back to the people and to push for a world where we are as free as this life allows us to be.

We at OPGames stand strongly in support. Our vision of bridging everyone to Web 3 and all the good things this technology can offer is directly, if not precisely in line with the spirit of the declaration.

Though put together by the spirit and energy of the community as a whole, we are proud to have a little OPGames history tied to the declaration by virtue of our co-founder, Paul Gadi’s involvement in co-authoring the piece.

This is just another glimpse of our initiative towards a truly open-source, decentralized pluriverse.

Please take the time to read and share. We encourage you all to sign or even fork the declaration. All our voices matter and each of our individual actions will play a part in building the world we want to live in.
